On 26th January 2017 the first joint transnational call of HDHL-INTIMIC "Interrelation of the Intestinal Microbiome, Diet and Health" has been launched, cofunded by the European Union. It aims to support multinational, collaborative research projects that address important research questions regarding the cause-and-effect relationships between diet, the intestinal microbiome and human health. The overall aim of HDHL-INTIMIC is to build a solid knowledge base for the development of new strategies and products for health promotion and prevention of chronic diseases through diet-dependent modulation of the intestinal microbiome.
Building on the previous achievements of the JPI HDHL joint action Intestinal Microbiomics this cofunded call will further enhance the collaboration between HDHL member countries, the JPI and the European Commission (EC), as well as the establishment of research networks across borders and disciplines.
The deadline for the submission of the pre-proposals is 5th April 2017 and the deadline for the submission of full proposals is 20th July 2017.
