Results of the first step of the HDHL-INTIMIC Cofunded Call "Interrelation of the Intestinal Microbiome, Diet and Health"
In total, 66 eligible pre-proposals have been submitted to the HDHL-INTIMIC Cofunded Call "Interrelation of the Intestinal Microbiome, Diet and Health". Following the first evaluation step the selected consortia have been invited to submit a full proposal by July 20th. The final funding decision is expected in October 2017. Read More...

Harnessing Research and Innovation for FOOD 2030: A Science Policy Dialogue
On 16 October 2017 the EU Commission will hold a conference in Brussels to disseminate successful European Research and Innovation (R&I) initiatives and contribute to the ongoing science-policy dialogue in the area of Food & Nutrition Security (FNS). The conference will provide a stakeholder platform for a science policy dialogues to assess the current state of European research, innovation and investment, and explore future needs relevant to the implementation of the EU FOOD 2030 Strategy. JPI HDHL MOVIE: Why Research on Nutrition & Health matters
JPI HDHL developed a movie to explain the role that research on Nutrition & Health matters can play to improve public health, and increasing the quality of life. The prevalence of overweight and obesity is increasing worldwide. More than 2 billion people are overweight, of which 600 million suffer from obesity. This causes an increase in diet-related diseases as well as an increase in costs for the society. Through JPI HDHL, 26 governments work together to improve the effectiveness of Research & Innovation investments and to increase knowledge supporting society in moving towards a healthier and more sustainable diet. Monika Kocmanova, member of the Department of Research and Development of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports (MEYS) of the Czech Republic, is the representative of the Czech Republic in the Management Board of JPI HDHL.
