ILSI Symposium on Nutrition for the Ageing Brain
Healthy brain ageing is shaped by multiple factors. Among those, nutrition plays an important role. Yet the relationship between nutrition and cognitive health is complex and may depend on biological pathways, timing, individual characteristics and resilience.
The 6th ILSI Nutrition of the Ageing Brain Symposium will explore the latest evidence on how nutrition can support healthy cognitive ageing—from nutrients and dietary patterns to metabolic health, life-course factors, individual variability and personalised approaches. The programme will also address a key question: Do we have enough evidence to act? Together, researchers and stakeholders will examine what we know, where uncertainties remain, and how science can translate into meaningful strategies for healthy brain ageing.
The symposium will take place on 20 and 21 April 2027 at the Living Place Hotel in Bologna, Italy.
