Successful Launch of the HDHL Early Career Network (ECN)

HDHL is thrilled to announce the successful launch of the HDHL-wide Early Career Network (ECN) during our kick-off event on Tuesday, 26th September.

Kick-off event

The event drew 23 enthusiastic members, representing nearly half of the ECN's total membership. Led by the steering committee comprising Kaat Philippe, Laura Belmon, Vicka Versele, and Caroline Seiferth, the ECN was officially introduced, marking the beginning of its exciting journey. The interactive event not only provided a valuable networking platform but also allowed members to actively contribute their insights for shaping the future of the ECN. Highlighting the evening was an engaging talk by David Bennett, research impact officer at the University College Dublin, who shared strategies to create more research impact. The feedback from the attendees has been overwhelmingly positive. This initiative mirrors the goals outlined in the Implementation Plan 2022-2024, emphasizing HDHL’s dedication to enhancing capacity building, especially for Early Career Scientists. The aim is to magnify the impact of research outcomes and forge strong links between the realms of science, policy, and practice. HDHL is committed to support members in their career development and is excited about the future of the HDHL Early Career Network.
