The HDHL Food4Health project brings together leading European organisations to address the intertwined challenges of food- and diet-related Non-Communicable Diseases and Climate Change, by fostering collaboration and aligning research efforts across food, health, and environment areas.- Malnutrition in the Elderly In 2015, the JPI HDHL launched the call “Malnutrition in the Elderly Knowledge Hub”. The Knowledge Hub started in March 2016 and ended in September 2018.
The last meeting of 2023 took place in Brussels. The meeting agenda was filled with points to move forward and to look at the future of HDHL.
We are pleased to pre-announce the launch of the new joint funding activity: the Knowledge Hub call on ‘Establishing the link between food processing and sustainable food systems’ expected in early January 2026.
The results of the funded projects under the PREPHOBES call were presented during an online final symposium held on September 16, 2024. The coordinators were joined by funding agency representatives, stakeholders, Early Career researchers, and HDHL Scientific and Stakeholder Advisory Board members.- Healthy Diet, Healthy Life (HDHL) addresses global challenges that no Member State can tackle alone. HDHL has the objective to expand towards a global approach.
“Just four industries cause 2.7 million deaths in the European Region every year”. This important take-away from the report “Commercial determinants of noncommunicable diseases in the WHO European Region” set the scene for a HDHL-WHO workshop. The final report of this workshop and the main challenges and recommendations is now available.
On September 22nd, the coordinators and several partners of the PREPHOBES research projects (EndObesity, GrowH!, I-PREGNO and SO-NUTS) gathered in Brussels (and online) to present the status and results of their projects after 18 months runtime.
